Scholarships
Scholarships provide financial support for students to help pay for a college degree. These funds enable students to obtain education they may not have access to otherwise.

This scholarship is awarded annually to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in their entering grades to the University and who are able to demonstrate financial need.

Tribe Network and SMU launch Scholarships
​

Undergraduate Award: applicants must meet undergraduate admission requirements to a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Commerce program, with an intended major in Computer Science or Computing and Information Systems. Recipients of the Undergraduate Tribe Network Award will receive $5,000 annually upon meeting the academic criteria.

Graduate Scholarship: applicants must be a graduate student of Saint Mary’s University in any discipline involving computing and analytics. Recipients will receive $10,000 annually, which can be applied towards tuition reduction and/or support for student internships.

The Africville Heritage Trust together with Waterbury Newton Law Firm

A scholarship program to provide financial assistance to former residents and descendants of former Africville residents who pursue post secondary education, as well as to students who demonstrate an effort to further the purpose of the Society through community advocacy, research, publications and training. The fund will provide annual scholarships in all fields of study, provided that studies are through an accredited Canadian college or university.
